Finding the right carpet across widths, lots and blends

The problem
The same carpet exists in different widths, lots and manufacturing blends, so a simple stock figure does not answer the question being asked.
What we did
Built a consolidated stock lookup in Business Central that shows availability across widths, lots and blends in one view, so sales can answer a customer without opening several screens.
Why it mattered
The person on the phone can see what can genuinely be supplied together, rather than promising stock that will not match on site.

National Floorcoverings operates in flooring, and the work described here was shaped by that operating context rather than by a standard template.

One challenge is published in full: the situation as it stood, the part that was genuinely difficult, the decision we took and why another route was rejected. The answers were not all the same: this work used bespoke extension.

What it proves, and what it does not
