Oxford Nanopore Technologies Ltd is a private company headquartered
at the Oxford Science Park outside Oxford, UK. An accelerating market
has lead the company from raising £25m in April 2011 to £100m in
December 2016. Oxford Nanopore has developed the world’s first
and only Nanopore DNA sequencer, the MinION. The MinION is a portable,
real time, long-read, low cost device that has been designed to bring
easy biological analysis to anyone, whether in scientific research,
education or a range of real world applications such as disease/pathogen
surveillance, environmental monitoring, food chain surveillance,
self-quantification or even micro-gravity biology.
To date, Nanopore have successfully integrated with two third party logistics companies (3PL) and have future plans to integrate for a third time using the InteliSense IT integration Hub and 3PL solution. A 3PL solution that controls stock at batch and serial number level with little to no user intervention.
Nanopore have no need to call their 3PL companies on a daily basis. The integration handles the communication between the two business entities.
